Oh, goodness, how I love this show still.
I found this little gem on TCM this afternoon — as I attempted to work my way through grad homework. Singing, dancing, amazing clothing, Ronald Regan being funny, and a solo soft shoe routine in a gymnasium amazing enough to make me want a star quarterback of my very own for the first time in my life.

The Puppini Sisters are in the area tonight… and I have class.
Last night was a start-of-the-holiday-season dinner with some of my favorite people… and I had Grad Senate.
The more work I do, the less my brain wants to sleep, the more I stare at my computer screen blankly because I’m too tired to function and know, logically, I should get sleep in an attempt to be fresher the next night, but my brain says no and repeats all the projects I have due like a mantra.
Forget the end of the semester, how long ‘til graduation?? [5 months, 3 weeks, 2 days… but who’s counting…]
